Needs your review before launch. The technical statements below describe what the software actually does and were written from the source. The company name, registered address and contact details still need filling in, and the whole page should be checked by someone qualified for the markets you sell into.

The short version

Your recordings never leave your computer. We do not have an account system, we do not collect analytics, and we cannot see what you record. The only thing the app sends us is your licence key when it checks that the licence is still valid.

What stays on your computer

All of the following is written to your own machine and is never transmitted:

They live in the application data folder for your Windows account. Deleting the application data folder removes them permanently; we hold no copy and cannot recover them for you.

What the app sends us

Only licence checks. When you activate a licence, and roughly every one to two weeks afterwards, the app contacts our licence service and sends:

Our server records the time of each check and the network address the request came from, which is ordinary web server logging, so that we can support you and detect misuse of a licence. We do not receive any information about what you record, which sites you visit, or what your tutorials contain.

If the app cannot reach us it keeps working. It is not a condition of using software you have paid for that you stay online.

Purchase information

Payments are handled by our payment provider, not by us and not by the app. We receive the information needed to issue and support a licence, which is your email address and the order reference. We never see or store card details. The desktop application contains no payment code at all.

How long we keep things

Licence records are kept for as long as the licence exists, so that we can support it and honour refunds. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deleting a licence record means the licence can no longer be validated or supported. Contact us at the address below.
